Dove Nest Group

Apologies to any loyal readers of this blog who may have missed reading what I’ve been doing (there may be someone out there who falls into this category.  I can reassure anyone concerned about my wellbeing (or workload) that I am alive, well and busy. Apart from 2 weeks holiday I appear to have been too busy to write the Dove Nest blog so I aim to rectify this over the next few weeks.

September is one of the busiest months of the year for us. An empty office car park means that we are all busy delivering for clients (home and away), at meetings with clients existing and prospective, running development centres, development programmes etc.

I have just passed my seven year anniversary at Dove Nest and the time has flown. I have spent more miles than I would have liked on the M6, M5, M25, the West Coast Mainline and occasionally on a plane, but I have had the privilege of working with many fascinating people and some great colleagues. I often think that in our world of people development its sometime hard to see the impact our work has on individuals and groups who we might only meet for a short but intense period of time. Often someone will say, “Do you remember what you said to me last time we met? Its made a big difference to me”: that for me would be a brilliant thing to hear. Its what makes the planning, preparation and blood sweat and tears all worth it!
