Speedy Services Senior Leadership Programme
Speedy Services identified a need for Leadership Development at Regional Director level and equivalent who report into Speedy’s Directorship. This group of individuals are vital to the success of the business, as they bridge the gap between the Directorship and day-to-day operations, ensuring that Speedy’s strategic priorities are both communicated and delivered successfully.
As a result, Speedy appointed Dove Nest Group to design a Senior Leadership Programme, the purpose of which was to build a high-performing team who would:
- Proactively drive change to achieve the strategic objectives
- Develop others to unlock potential and maximise performance
- Work effectively as a single peer team across the business
In partnership with Speedy Services, Dove Nest designed a 12 month programme consisting of four, two day residential workshops based at our Lake District venue, interspersed with one to one coaching sessions.
Prior to the start of the Programme each participant completed a 360 Psychometric Assessment. The 360 was repeated a the end of the programme to allow the delegates to see how much they had developed during the programme.
To help embed their learning, the Senior Leaders were asked to liaise with their line managers and select a specific business project that would enable them to demonstrate their application of learning and ROI.
Throughout the programme, Participants were also asked to practise and apply their learning immediately back into the workplace, and make personal and group commitments that align with ongoing business priorities.
The original programme was funded by an external grant received from the CITB. However, as a result of the impact of the programme, and the observations experienced by the Directorship, Speedy Services has since commissioned two further cohorts.
