Dove Nest Group

Dove Nest Group is proud and delighted to be supporting a Primary School in Bombo, Uganda. Many of the Dove Nest team are sponsoring individual children at the school, which means that the child’s school fees are covered, and that they two get hot meals a day, a uniform and regular health checks in order to identify any health problems early.

This support means that a child, who might otherwise not be able to go to school, has the security of knowing that the cost of their primary education is being covered. Whilst there is state education in Uganda, it tends to be very patchy in its quality and many parents have to work hard to earn money to cover school fees.

Bombo is a poor area about 40km north of Kampala and the school has been built to a very high standard. As a business, Dove Nest is also funding the salary of the Head Teacher and has provided classroom tables and chairs for the children. The link between the business and the school arose when one of the Dove Nest team visited Uganda as part of a Medical Mission and became interested in the work of CRMI, the UK based charity which has funded the building of the school and organises the child sponsorship programme.

“We’re really delighted to be involved with Salvation Way Primary School and to be able to provide so many children with a good quality education which we know will give them a good start in life. More of the Dove Nest team are planning to visit the school in the future to see the great work being done there”.
