Level 5 Women in Leadership
Our Level 5 Women in Leadership fully aligns to the Operations / Departmental Manager standard. It is aimed at current managers who manage teams or projects and are responsible for achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives as part of their organisation’s strategy through a tailored curriculum to address the challenges women face in leadership.
The programme covers all the standards in respect of the Knowledge and Skills required within the Operations / Departmental Manager Apprenticeship, as well as to support learners in a range of challenges faced by female leaders, covering topics such as:
- Imposter syndrome
- Unconscious bias
- Believing your inner voice
- Growth mindset
- Menopause and work life balance
- Stereotyping
- Brand and image
Structure
The programme is delivered on the same timeline as the Level 5 Team Leader / Supervisor programme. The sessions will be tailored to be relevant to women in leadership.

15 months

- Line Manager engagement
- Two day Launch workshop – virtual or face to face
- One to one tutorial support sessions

Outcomes
- Successful completion of a full Women in Leadership Operations / Departmental Manager Apprenticeship

- Ability and confidence to use core management techniques specifically for women
- Heightened ability and confidence to provide practical leadership and operational management
- Attainment of the ILM Level 5 Diploma for Leaders and Managers (optional)
