Dove Nest are proud to have been supporting the 2014 Balfour Beatty Graduate’s on their Development Programme since January 2015. We wish all the graduates the best of luck as they continue their personal growth and progression in the industry.
Each year the company recruits around 140 graduates who come not just from the traditional construction disciplines of Civil Engineering and Quantity Surveying but also from functions such as Finance and HR.
Our emphasis is clearly on the behavioural and self-awareness aspects of personal development.
- Content in the programme includes:
- Building awareness and creating the right first impression every time
- The learning cycle and learning styles
- Feedback on personality questionnaires
- Developing leadership skills
- Emotional Intelligence
- The art of feedback (both giving and receiving)
- Working with others who are different to me
- Leading self and others in a changing environment
The graduates have also completed a CSR project, in conjunction with one of Balfour Beatty’s chosen charities.
